WOMAD - World of Music, Arts and Dance - held at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, in Wiltshire from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th July 2017 has announced the acts who'll make use of "the world's finest sound system" that you'll see at festivals, created by British audio specialists Bowers & Wilkins.

Designed to create an unrivalled listening experience that brings revellers closer to the music, the four 3.5m speaker stacks embody the acoustic engineering of Bowers & Wilkins flagship hi-fi speakers, delivered on a massive scale. The result is a thumping club sound system, which this year features the likes of Floating Points and Joey Negro alongside Howie B and Craig Richards.

The full line-up for the Friday has the collaboration Howie B and Craig Richards Present Hurtle - A Trip Into Bass Felt Emotions, there's a fusion of grime, neo-soul, hip hop and jazz from Blue Lab Beats, 'live' electronic compositions from Anchorsong, WOMAD favourite Joseph Arthur, and lots of arm-waving from The New York Theremin Society presents: Dorit Chrysler & Charlie Draper in "Sounds of the Ether".

On Saturday there's a set of funk, disco and housefrom Joey Negro, Addictive TV with their show "Orchestra of Samples", Rival Consoles, the soundsystem gets shown off at its very best with Portico Quartet - Special Live Surround Mix, a "fusion of New Wave Italian indie-rock and dream pop" from Ofeliadorme, London-based Japanese-American composer who uses body movements and human gestures to create live electronic music Atau Tanaka, and especially for children School of Noise - Hands on Foley Workshop.

And on Sunday "spinning a mix of futuristic dance electronica" is Floating Points (DJ set), Mercury Prize winning British rapper Speech Debelle, Swedish multi-instrumentalist Loney Dear, Nick Mulvey - In Conversation explaining the musical journey behind his latest album, "powerful, multi-layered and lyrical songs" from Tom Hickox, Project Adrift which is a "unique meeting of art, sound and science" from artists Cath Le Couteur and Nick Ryan, and (for children) DIY Beatboxing.

These join the acts previously confirmed, who include Toots & the Maytals, Goat, Oumou Sangare, Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Benjamin Zephaniah & The Revolutionary Minds, Afro Celt Sound System, Roy Ayers with Seun Kuti And Egypt 80, Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra, Shobaleader One, Alsarah & the Nubatones, Bixiga 70, Inna De Yard All-Stars, (members of) The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians, Trembling Bells, Khmer Rouge Survivors, Bokante, and many more. The full line-up will feature around 100 artists from 40 countries performing over the festival weekend. Many more acts are still to be confirmed - expect the most eclectic line-up anywhere in the UK.

Weekend tickets - which are valid from the Friday until Sunday are priced at £175, or a four day ticket for Thursday arrivals is £210.
