Despite last year's cancellation due to atrocious weather, The Acoustic Festival of Britain plans to return in 2008 over the May Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May.

Because of the weather problems experienced with the site planned to be used for 2007, for 2008 the festival is moving to Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, South Derbyshire.

Acts announced for this year's event include Jethro Tull, Peter Tork (The Monkees), Melanie, originals - Marsden Murray & Co play Whitesnake, Former ELO & Electric Light Orchestra Part II members Phil Bates & Mik Kiminski, Martin Furey And The Celts, Andy Fairweather Lowe, Classic Clapton, 9 Below Zero, Midge Ure, Tin Tin Lady, Fairport Convention, Boss Hoss, Hazel O'Connor, Jah Wobble, Mike Peters, The Animals, Donovan, Marillion, Eric Faulkner, Gordon Giltrap, Acoustic Beatles, Nathalie Nahai, Divided Opinions, Toy Hearts, Boy On A Dolphin, 2Tone Theatre, Neck, Michael Chapman, Band From Co Hell, Jan Graveson, Gut Buttery, Rodney Brannigan, Sabai, Jim Kirkpatrick, Ade Payne Band, Karen Nash, Pot Boilers, Crowded Out, Ed Tudor Pole, Classic Clapton, Dixie Hicks, Cheshire Chord Company, and Swans In Flight and more - for the latest the line-up so far, click here.

The festival will have a blend of unplugged and acoustic music, including folk, roots, celtic, ska, blues, rock and pop. As well as live music, the festival is expected to also include stalls, craft displays, juggling schools, a real ale tent, and more.

A limited number of weekend tickets are now on sale here with day tickets also available.

Adult Weekend £98 (Earlybird Price £90 until April 30)
Child (10 – 16yrs) Weekend £10
Kids (5 – 9yrs) Weekend £4

Weekend with Camping Ticket Prices
Adult Weekend with Camping £115 (Earlybird Price £90 until Feb 29)
Child (10 – 16yrs) Weekend with Camping £15
Kids (5 – 9yrs) Weekend with Camping £5

Campers in vans, caravans and trailer tents must pre book a special pitch. £20 (These tickets are only available to people who have weekend ticket with camping)

All children (5-16yrs) must be accompanied by an adult.

Because of last year's cancellation, tickets from 2007 will be valid for 2008. Tickets will be replaced in line with your purchases from 2007, ie. weekend, day, weekend camping and children (all applicable regardless of ages).
