The Acoustic Festival of Britain offers four stages of unplugged and acoustic music covering live folk guitar music, country music, bluegrass, with a few legends, and some tribute acts. now in it's sixth year the festival is held from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd May 2011.

The event returns to its new home at Uttoxeter Racecourse, in Staffordshire.

Line-up

Steve Harley will headline Saturday night, Hayseed Dixie, and Cerys Matthews have been announced as Friday night headliners, with Fairport Convention, Nik Kershaw, and Quill announced for Sunday, with John Parr, Fish, Sheelanagig, Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, Hazel O'Connor & The Bluja Project, The Acoustic Beatles, The Troubadors, Elbow Jane, Radio Mary, Ghost Train, The Re-entrants, Shamus OBlivion, T.Rextasy, Seven Little Sisters, and more also confirmed. Dancing through the weekend will include The Shimmy Armageddon Belly Dancers, The Black Pig Border Morris Dancers, Zazutribal Dancers, The Biker Urban Morris Dancers and The Balimino Dancers.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are no longer on sale. An adult weekend ticket is priced at £90 including camping (or £75 without camping), child weekend camping tickets for those aged 10 - 15 years are priced at £20 or £10 without camping. Children under 10 can attend for free but still need a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Day tickets are priced as follows:
Friday: Adults £25, Children (10 - 15 yrs) £10
Saturday: Adults £35 Children (10 - 15 yrs) £10
Sunday: Adults £30 Children (10 - 15 yrs) £10

Caravans & campervans

There will be 2 sites available for caravans and camper vans. The Main Festival campsite has 300 pitches on grass/hard standing. These pitches do not have electric hook ups. All occupants must purchase the relevant Weekend with Camping Tickets.

There is also a Caravan Club site on the Racecourse which has space for 70 units with electric hook ups. All Caravan club members can stay for the usual £4 per night pitch fee plus £3.40 per adult and £1,10 per child. Bookings to be made direct to the caravan club on 01342 327490. If you book a pitch on this site, you need only buy Weekend Tickets without Camping.

On site

The festival is expected to offer four Stages and dozens of crafts and food tents together with a huge real ale tent over 200ft long, with a stage powered by bicycles, and set in 92 acres of parkland. The festival also has stalls, craft displays, juggling schools, workshops, soccer skills, cinema, food hall, breakfast café on camp site, comedy hour, a buskers stage, a real ale tent, fair trade, children's area, camping, a tipi circle, flushing loos, and more.
