The Summer Alcester Folk Festival will take place from Friday 19th until Sunday 21st June 2008. It is a well known Singers' festival and features workshops, singarounds and sessions plus performances from a wide variety artists.
Acts confirmed this year are Ken Nicol & Phil Cool, Andy Casserley doing Music hall, Ingrid and Barry Temple, Mary Brettell (Australia), Martin Sumpton, Martin Curtis, Scolds Bridle, GU 4, Wholehearted, Duncan Mcfarlane, Andy Wall, Les Sullivan, Alan Whitbread, Kim McKee and Ken Willson, C Major 7th, Dave James, Malc Gurnham and Gill Gillsenan, John Prentice and Gill, Alhambra, Kim McKee & Ken Willson(Colorado, USA), Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman, Jon Harvison, Speake & Lowe, Dave Warmisley, Moses & the Ref, Copper Kettle, Simon Jackson, TRI, Tony Portlock, Lorraine, Mike Nicholson, Trim Rig and a Doxy, and Graham and Eileen Pratt with more acts still to be announced.
Early bird tickets are priced at £48 for a full weekend before Monday 1st June when the price will rise to £52. Concession (over 60yrs, unwaged, students) full weekend tickets are priced at £30. To download a ticket order form, click here.
There is camping which will available for a fee (TBA), and campers can stay until Monday at no extra charge.
