Ten Years Of All Tomorrows Parties Festival '09

All Tomorrows Parties will be celebrating 10 years of ATP from December 2009 to December 2010.

They will commence their 10th birthday festivities with a second weekend in December, The Ten Years Of ATP festival will take place at Butlins Resort in Minehead from Friday 11th December to Sunday 13th December, 2009. ATP is a sponsorship free festival where the organisers and artists stay in the same accommodation as the fans.

As this is their birthday party, for the line-up ATP are inviting past ATP curators, ATP recordings artists and some ATP favourites thrown into the mix too.

So far confirmed to play are: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, The Breeders, Explosions in the Sky, Battles, Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks, Dirty Three, Tortoise, Shellac, Melvins, Mudhoney, J Mascis and the Fog, The Magic Band, The For Carnation, Papa M, Sunn O))) performing The GrimmRobe Demos, Sunn O))) performing from Monoliths & Dimensions, OM, múm, Lightning Bolt, Edan, Tall Firs, Deerhoof, The Drones, Sleepy Sun, Bardo Pond, F*ck Buttons, APSE, Alexander Tucker and Decomposed Orchestra, and Porn. youm have had to cancel their appearance.

To celebrate the Yeah Yeah Yeahs coming up to ten years of being a band they will play a special performance of debut album 'Fever To Tell' as the first part of their show. This is unique to ATP and will not be what they are performing on the rest of their tour.

David Pajo's Papa M performance will consist of the 1999 classic 'Live From A Shark Cage' album (another ten year anniversary).

Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV.

Tickets have sold out. Room only accommodation was available in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 berth rooms (price £160 per ticket), and Self Catering accommodation was available in 4, 6 and 7 berths (price £170 per ticket).

All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late.

Buses:
Due to the high numbers that arrive by train Butlins are organising additional buses to meet the trains at Taunton station, and to take you back on Monday morning, spaces are limited and must be pre booked. Buses can be booked by phone by calling +44 (0)845 070 4760.
Times:
Friday 11th December - Taunton Train station to Butlins Minehead Coaches at 12, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm
Monday 14th December - From Butlins Minehead to Taunton Train Station Coaches at 7am, 8:30am, 10:15am

Buses cost £6 for a single journey or £10 per person for a return journey.

Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.

Getting There by Road
Heading north the simplest route is to take the M5 to Taunton (Junction 25), then take the A358 and A39 to Minehead. Heading south on the M5, you can follow the signposts for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins Minehead Holiday Camp is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre.

Getting There by Train
If travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by Southern National between Taunton Station and Minehead. This service is available at an additional cost. On Mondays to Saturdays, there's approximately an hourly service, with the last bus leaving Taunton Railway Station at 10:15 pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays services run every 2 hours from 9:35 am - 9:35 pm. For general information call Southern National on 01823 272033.
