BEAUTIFUL DAYS INFORMATION

the stages

Thursday 13th October 2011

Main Stage
This is the largest stage located at the bottom of a banked field which enables the crowd to have a good view. The main stage is always closed by the Levellers as the last act to appear on the Sunday. The main stage is positioned close to the main bar.

Beautiful Days 2008

Big Top
Also known as the second stage, this stage is inside a large tent and is always opened by a performance by the Levellers Acoustic on the Friday. This stage tends to offer a more folk flavoured line-up. The stage is beside the second bar.

Little Big Top
This is the dance tent in the evenings, programmed until around 2am, and in 2008 offered a bill of comedy, and spoken word during the day.

Bimble Inn
Located at the far end of the festival site, this is a large tipi tent, with an intimate atmosphere inside, and it's own bar. The Bimble Inn has an acoustic flavour, often showcasing a few performances by acts from the bigger stages, and the line-up is posted on blackboards outside the Inn. This stage also conitunes until the early hours.

Dirty Davey's Bandstand
A new addition in 2010 which replaced The Pussy Parlure and was located near the main stage, before moving into the campsite. The line-up includes open mic, poetry, avant garde and performance acts as well as live bands and DJ sets.

Leviticus Tent
Luton based 'Do It Ourselves' community, that offers music, discussions - some with The Levellers, and films. Now in the 'Late Night' area above the Bimble Inn and offering some big beats over the weekend to dance along to.

There are other opportunities to see live music all over the site, with over the years an open area in the Children's field, Mad Planet, a bus by the Little Big Top, campfire circles, and stalls hosting DJs over the weekend.
