The dates for the Beverley & East Riding Folk Festival are Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2009.

The line-up announcements for this year include Seth Lakeman headlining on the Sunday, with other acts including The Anna Massey Band, Lunasa, The Peatbog Faeries, The Demon Barbers, Eric Bogle, Billy Bragg, Belinda O'Hooley & Heidi Tidow, and Spencer Bohren. Also, the crime writer Peter Robinson, and and innovative singer and fiddle-player Eliza Carthy team up to present a thrilling story telling show. There will also be a special Americana mini-fest for 2009 featuring The Coal Porters, Jeni & Billy, Bruce Molsky, Curtis Eller and many more artists.

The full price of tickets is £87 for an adult weekend ticket or £62 for concessions. Camping costs £10 per adult/concession, and children under 12 years are free. A family ticket (2 adults & 2 youths) is priced at £212. To buy tickets, click here.

Most events take place either at the Leisure Centre or at Memorial Hall, but other venues are also used, such as Beverley Minster and the Priory. All the venues are within a ten minute walk from the campsite and the Festival Village at the Leisure Complex is a perfect place to wander about, browse through the various trade, craft and music stalls, enjoy the workshops and activities for all the family and listen to the many performances at the Wold Top marquee while enjoying a pint of the specially created Festival Brew.

Children up to the age of eleven are admitted free of charge to make it a perfect and low cost weekend for all the family to enjoy. The festival campsite has the added benefit of having access to the Leisure Complex facilities.

The 'Festival Village' will this year feature even more events plus there will be an added 'Americana' theme with USA artists also making an appearance.

More information will be here when available.
