Enchanted Garden '01

The Big Chill festival, Enchanted Garden is based in the Larmer Tree Gardens nearish to Salisbury. Its a small event with numbers reduced this year (down to 2,750 from 5,000) in an attempt to try to preserve an intimate atmosphere.

This very popular event is now sold out (3rd April 2001).

The focus of the event is on 'chilling out' of course with a mellow selection of music based in 3 main areas: Main Stage, Sanctuary and Club Tent. Accompanying this are areas dedicated to film, audio experimentation and the body and soul. There is an art trail too which apparantly comes into its own in the early hours alongside the 24 hour bar.

There is a range of food on site including Mexican and Japanese and a wider variety of vegetarian stuff this year. There are also the normal stalls to buy your bits and bobs.

This little festival is attempting to capture the original festival atmosphere of places like Glastonbury and this is emphasised by a strong hippy feel and 'country code'.
