One of Scotland's most predominant mid-winter music festivals, which attracts the Celtic and World music talent from around the globe, with more than 150 acts performing around the city of Glasgow. Celtic Connections takes place from Monday 14th until Friday 31st January 2010.

Line-up

The line-up includes Justin Adams with Juldeh Camara, Speed Caravan, The Chieftains & Los Cenzontles, Ry Cooder, The Treacherous Orchestra, Rupa & The April Fishes, Gypsy Queens & Kings, Carlos Núñez, Bobby McFerrin, Angélique Kidjo, The Low Anthem, Fred Morrison, Old Blind Dogs, Alyth, The Shee and Fraser Anderson, Laura Veirs and Cataldo and The Old Believers, Oran Mor, and more. Tom Paxton's appearance has been cancelled. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Tickets

Ticket prices vary from FREE to around £30. To buy tickets, click here.

Venues

Most of the festival concerts take place at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall but other venues include the City Halls, the Old Fruitmarket, The Classic Grand, and The National Piping Centre. Many events sell out very quickly and as well as the predictably popular artists, there are also many specialist events, almost too numerous to mention, such as a Hurdy Gurdy night, Accordian Night and Scottish Pipe Band performances.

Highlights

Other highlights to expect include the nightly Celtic Connections Festival Club (for season ticket holders), the free Open Stage Sessions at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall Exhibition Hall, workshops every weekend, talks, films and dance.

More information will be here when available.
