The Chalgrove Live Music Festival will take place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th August 2007. The festival is held in a 20 acre field on Mill Lane on the outskirts of the Oxfordshire village.
It is a charity event where profits will be presented to chosen charities. In 2007 Chalgrove Live Music Festival has chosen Helen & Douglas House supporting children with life threatening illness for the second year running.
The festival supports new and up-and-coming bands and aims to offer something for everyone: rock, folk, blues, funk.
There will be a 'Best Bike Competition', a Jam Tent which doubles as a second stage and a dance tent at night. There are Craft and Food Concession stalls, and if the festival has enough entrants they will hold a Battle of the Bands comp with Decibel Studios providing a prize of £500 worth of rehearsal time.
The Friday of this year's festival is free, but charity donations at the gate would be appreciated. Acts confirmed for the Friday are Split The Riff, The Larkz, John Otway, and Electric Head.
Acts confirmed so far for the Saturday are Pawel (paulo), Karma Koma, Reservoir Cats, Uniting The Elements, Hagglebag, Ann Duggan, Leatherat, Subway, and headliner's Martin Turners Wishbone Ash.
Sunday will feature Church Service Followed by Choir, Juxstar, Dawn Chorus, East 42nd St, Ghengis Brothers, Shepherds Pi, Adrenalin, and headliners The Hoggz. Over all there will be 40 bands, playing across two stages. There will also be 20+ real ales, cider, and perry. Children are welcome and there will be activities like face painting, bouncy castles, baby bottle heating facilities and a colouring competition.
Weekend tickets cost £12.50 (£7 con), day tickets are £7 (£3.50 con) (Friday is free), and Camping is £5. To buy click
