Clun Green Man Festival has been cancelled.
A statement from organisers says:
"Unfortunately, Clun Green Man Festival 2012 has been cancelled due to the unseasonal amount of rain over the last month.
The committee believe that due to the state of our local fields and precarious nature of the river Clun at the moment it would be dangerous to continue with the procession and craft fair on Monday the 7th of May."

The Clun Green Man Festival is a traditional springtime festival, held over four days on the first May Bank Holiday of the year from Friday 4th until to Monday 7th May 2012. The Festival takes place in the town of Clun in South Shropshire. The programme is full of live music, drama, and medieval malarkey and fun for all the family.
Line-up
First acts confirmed for Memorial Hall are The Roving Crows, and Whalebone for Saturday, and
The Swing Commanders on Sunday. Also confirmed are The Endings, Rhythm Maker, Bang On Samba Band, and more. There will be free music at the Sun Inn and at the White Horse Inn. The programme includes live music, drama, colour and medieval malarkey, a Monday procession through the town, and the dramatic battle between the Green Man and The Frost Queen, the Spirit of Winter, fought out on Clun Bridge. The Green Man must win if they are to have a Summer in Clun!
Tickets
Tickets for either gig at the Memorial Hall are priced at £12.50, with a ticket for both gigs priced at £20.
