The Cockermouth Rock Festival or CockRock, returns in 2009 as a three day event, with the dates confirmed as Friday 17th until Sunday 19th July at Wellington Farm, Cockermouth.

The festival has been running for five years, and is a non profit event set up to help raise money for two great local causes, the Great North Air Ambulance and Cockermouth Mountain Rescue as well as to encourage and promote local bands and musicians.

The acts confirmed for 2009 over three programmed stages include Friday's headliner The Shallow Call who will be playing 'The SiZe Sessions at CockRock' on the Slingshot Stage. Other confirmed acts include Adam Amor, Alex Hulme, Amy Sawers, Arockalypse Now, Autohype, Asezawallas, BB Blackdog, Blind Dogs, Black Jash, Deafclub Delux, Borderville, Brightside, Broken English, Broken Toy, Censored, Corruption, Colt 45, Cotton Town Music Club, DJ Couch, Deathretro, Feed Me, Fiasco, FoxBusker, Gavin McKew, Geoff 'Hurricane' Watson, Head for the Hills, Hollowpoint, I am Spartacus, Image of a Busker, Kalmer, Ketimine Deco, Kinch, Leroy Johnson & The Flicks, DJ Maud, Mazzoni, Melodee Rockmore, Minim, My Amiga, Obrigado, DJ Pavarotti, Psycho Baby, Rhythm Dead Lady, Rodan, See Past Perfect, Serpico, Shaky Jake, Shore , Sicky City Club, Sour Mash, Steve McCormick, Sunflies, Suzi:Won, Telf, The Arkanes, The Breed, The Bromptons, The Cheap Suits, The Conspirators, The Dangleberries, The Dandilions, The Following Announcement, The Hoodoo, The Mass, The Mooncats, The Naturalz, The Refreshers, The Rokettes, The Wooden Spoons, Tin Soldiers, Torn Asunder, Turbowolf, DJ Unyan, Vertigo, Viva City, Volcanoes, Wasted Angels, Waters Edge, Witness The Fall, and Zoltan.

Expect also a professional BBQ on site, plus many stalls, food outlets, extra bars as well as many events for all the family. These include a Bouncy Castle, Rodeo Bull, Gladiator Duals and more.

Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults: Weekend tickets £30, day tickets £15.
Children Under 14: Weekend tickets £20, day tickets £10.
Children under 5s can enter for free.
Family ticket: £30.
