The festival offers an eclectic mix of orchestral, rock, choral, blues, opera, folk, and jazz performances at a variety of indoor and outdoor venues including two churches, the bandstand in the Park, outside the castle, and various hotels, pubs, and restaurants, throughout the weekend.

This year's line-up includes both local, national, and international artists, from the obscure to the well-known. They include Hamilton Loomis, Dave Hankin Big Band, Urusen, Martin Harley, Phantom Limb, Natalie Williams, Mad Dog Mcrea, Craig Milverton & Kevin Sanders, Phil King Band, Moscow Drug Club, Firefly, Carmina, Art Deco Music, Jackie Oates, Devon Youth Wind Orchestra, Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra, Shoot The Crow, The Bucket Boys, The Red Bullets, Tom Cary, Stringbean Quartet, Louise Parker, Becky Brine, James Harris' Beatbelt, Martin Dale Trio, Ryan Inglis, Maggie Reeday, The Drat Pack, Nicky Swann, The Harry Browns, The Nauti Bouys, (and just about guaranteed to be in attendance) - the Dart Festival Chamber Orchestra, and HM Band of the Royal Marines.The Dart Music Festival's motto is Music for All. Since it's inception in 1998, the Festival has attracted thousands of visitors and has become one of the stars in Dartmouth's calendar, appealing to old and young alike. There are many events from individual, group, and local school performances, to storytelling, dance displays and workshops.
