Download returns for its second year on 5th/6th June. Expect around 50 bands over the two days./
Linkin Park are now confirmed for the Saturday, and Metallica are confirmed for the Sunday. There's also more confirmations as well as some good rumours - see here.
This year the second stage will be done with Game On. This brings it's 'Soul Bowl' and a street course for skaters and BMXers to battle it out, while the Game On Stage will have punk and rock bands, to complement the headliners of Metallica and Linkin Park, plus loads more, on the Main Stage.
The campsites will open at noon on Friday 4th June, and close at noon on Monday 7th June.
Customers booking upgraded Camping Tickets MUST book a standard camping ticket as well. They will be required to produce both their standard camping ticket and their camping upgrade ticket for admittance. Customers must have a weekend ticket to purchase Camping tickets. (Single day tickets may be available closer to the event). For caravans and campervans call 01332-862409.
The gates open at 10am, and the entertainment beginning at 11:00am.
The bars stay open after the entertainment has finished - note you may not bring any alcohol onto the site.
Markets should include a variety of food from around the world, as well as clothes, jewellery, massages, piercing & tattoos, organic foods, souvenirs, merchandise, chairs, and other stuff.
Site facilities should include phone charge points, internet cafe and cinema.

£80 for the weekend, £15 extra for camping. Due to the overwhelming demand for Campsite Plus last year Download have introduced the £5 upgrade for Loaded Camping which includes hot showers,cloakroom, attended toilets and access to Club Kerrang! in the Download Café (limited capacity). There will also be the 'Upload VIP Package' which includes: Secure parking, Private VIP campsite with mains toilet, shower and catering facilities, exclusive entrance to festival, preferential access to Club Kerrang! at the Download Café (limited capacity), access to backstage guest hospitality area, with cash bar facilities, Download goodie bag, event Programme, stylised VIP pass for each guest.
