This event has been cancelled "due to site issues and other circumstances beyond our control, Earthwise has to be postponed to early summer next year".

Instead the organisers plan to hold a Baby Earthwise which will take place on the same dates from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August, it will be held on a small site in West Dorset. After honouring the existing ticket bookings there are a few tickets left for advance booking to the small gathering. For more on Baby Earthwise, here.

Earthwise 888, will take place this year at a new site, a field near the Uffington Horse, Berkshire Downs, Oxfordshire from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August. This is a green living, sustainable futures, family-friendly gathering with live entertainment and acoustic music, cafes and stalls.

The line-up for 2008 includes Subgiant headlining on Friday, Ozric Tentacles on Saturday night, and Banco de Gaia topping the bill on Sunday. Other acts confirmed for Earthwise include Temple Hedz, Seize The Day, Kangaroo Moon, BubbleDubble, Flipron, Halagoogoo, Circus Of Invention, Ceilidh Jo, In the Void, Minnesota Twins, Insomniac Jack, Tremor, Lunch Was My Idea, i said yes, Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle, Rogue Poet, Vogue Gyratory, Opaque, KidAmy, Tom Savin, My Pet Shadow, Twisted Routes, Kaplick and The Undercover Hippy. Expect a full programme of educational workshops, green crafts, and Kidszone plus discussions, forums and presentations with the emphasis on active participation rather than passive entertainment. All electricity used onsite is from renewable sources.

Tickets: 3 Days: Prices include camping
There were 'early bird' tickets on sale, now tickets are priced as follows: full 3 Day prices are adult full price £75, adult concession £60, child aged 5-17 £30.
Cars are £30, camper vans are £45, and car with caravan £45 also, motorbikes are £10, disabled free.
2 Days (9th + 10th): Prices include camping
Adult 2 day price £50; adult concession £40; child (5-17) £20; child aged 0-4 free.
Cars £20, camper van £30, car + caravan £30, motorbike £5, disabled free.
Day Tickets (9th or 10th):
Adult day ticket £15, child (5-17) £5, child aged 0-4 free.
Car £5, motorbike £3, disabled free.
Prices do not include camping.
