The Folk Weekend, now in its 24rd year, is based on a single site which includes marquees, camping facilities, food stalls, trade stands, real-ale bar, real toilets, showers, children's entertainment plus Morris displays and pub sessions during the day in Ely City centre.
This is a small, friendly festival where artists play meet and greet 'unplugged' sessions, there is also a real ale bar, trade stalls, numerous concerts, dances, displays, sessions, ceilidhs and children's entertainment plus a programme of workshops.
The acts confirmed include Peatbog Faeries, Edward II, Eric Bogle & John Munro, Baka Beyond, Tanglefoot, While & Matthews, Allan Taylor, Quicksilver, Flossie Malavialle, Adrian Nation, Steve Lockwood, Cuckoo Oak, Something Nasty in the Woodshed, The QP, Strange Folk, Strangeworld, Hot Lips & Chilli Fingers, Toy Hearts, Adam Brown & Alan MacLeod, Anna Sinfield, Hekety Ceilidh, Hazel, Bof!, The Ceilidh Allstars, Fiddler's Foot, and Wide Glide Band.
There is ample space for tents and caravans on site, and free parking is provided close to the festival site. There are also plenty of alternative accommodation available in Ely. Ely city centre is easily accessible by the organised shuttle bus (or 20 minutes walk).
TICKETS AND CAMPING PRICES:
Season tickets are available, a weekend adult ticket is priced at £57 (£40 concessions); kids tickets for those aged 10-17 yrs are £19. Camping has sold out - each camping is charged per person whether it's a tent, or in a campervan or a caravan.
