A safe, family friendly festival with an old school feel which takes place near the village of Sixpenny Handley in a green open setting. The festival has built a reputation for quality entertainment at an affordable price.

This year the entertainment will be weather-proof. Endorse-It In-Dorset returns as an intimate festival for 2,500 festival goers on Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August 2009, taking place near the village of Sixpenny Handley in the green open setting of Cranborne Chase, Dorset.

Expect a mixture of ska, dub, punk and more, from quality festival acts. Headlining the Friday will Dreadzone, and on Saturday it's the turn of Pama International. Other confirmed acts include Pronghorn, Zion Train, Sham 69, Attila the Stockbroker, Inner Terrestrials, The Powersteppers feat Molara, Tofu Love Frogs, SixNationState, The Highliners, Farmageddon, Toupe, Flipron, Eat Static, Cash Converted, Subgiant, Guns of Navarone, Hobo Jones & TJD, The Boot Hill All Stars, Cracked Actors, Who's Afear'd, Tragic Roundabout, Port Erin, The Lucky Sevens, Monkeyrush (featuring Fil Planet), and DJ Dapper Dan & The Macassa Man. For the line-up details as available please click here.

The festivals also has a great kids area, late night entertainment, comedy, food, beer, stalls, family camping area, healing area, chill-out area - all the usual.

New for this year is the appearance of Strummerville, a registered charity that aims to create new opportunities for aspiring musicians. They will be bringing their new set up, including a hut, new bus, flags, and the Strummerville communal camp fire, which offers sing alongs, musicians, and more.

The festival is held on a beautiful rural site overlooking Cranbourne Chase in Dorset, the vibe is that of an old school type of festival. The organisers know that it's tough out there. So, whilst other festivals are increasing their prices, tickets for the Endorse it in Dorset Festival 09 have been reduced to give as many people as possible the chance to enjoy a festival this year.

Tickets
Prices include three day entry to Endorse it in Dorset 09 and weekend camping. On site car parking is free. An adult three day weekend ticket this year costs £68, compared to £75 in 2008 and 2007. Full ticket prices are below.
Adults (over 16 years) £68
Children 11-16 years £35
Under 10 years £10 - SOLD OUT
Family (2 adults + 2 children) £190
Camper van £20 weekend supplement

Endorse-It has sold out of all kids and under 10's tickets. They have under 250 adult weekend tickets left for sale - until they sell out, these remaining tickets will be available on line until Thursday evening - any remaining will be for sale on the door. There will be day tickets available on the gate and although they are not anticipating these to all sell out, they do urge anyone travelling to please phone 0792 0843448 to check on the ticket status. The phone number given will only be available from 06/08/09 the day before the festival, to give up dates on ticket availability.

This year the organisers are taking Endorse it in Dorset back to its roots and back under canvass. There are still three stages filled with more bands than you can possibly see in a weekend, bars selling ales and scrumpy, side shows and entertainers, but this year promises to be an altogether more intimate affair. The extra advantage is that at Endorse it in Dorset the entertainment will be weather-proof!
