A festival of reggae, soul, urban, jazz, funk, blues, hip hop, drum & bass, electronica and experimental music happening across the city of Exeter.

The Vibraphonic Festival takes place from Thursday 5th until Sunday 22nd March 2009. It is an annual occasion with events taking place across Exeter around twenty venues including the Exeter Phoenix, the Cavern, Barnfield, The Hub, The Globe, Timepiece, and Exeter University's Lemon Grove.

A wide variety of artists and DJs are expected and there are also workshops, demonstrations, dance performances, films and graffiti art.

There line-up includes Candi Staton, The Rumble Strips, Don Letts, Zane Lowe, The Haggis Horns, Scratch Perverts, Nuala and the Alchemy Set, Smokestack Blues Band, Reginald D hunter, DJ Food, Joscho Stephan Trio, Macka B and the Royale Roots Band, Lack Of Afro, Damo Suzuki, Jamie Lidell, Finn Peters, Cleveland Watkiss Trio, Son Of Dave, Zappatika, Georgina Bromilow, Goldie Lookin Chain, Ash Grunwald, Bonobo, Wolfgang Flur, and a host of sessions, and bar residencies.

There's also a load of great workshops on offer this year, from brass, guitar, and synths, to performance, graffiti skills, and even the chance to create, modify and have fun with a portable DIY synthesizer and amplifier. Plus an analogue to digital expo.
