Electronic music from the UK and the world in ten or more music areas, covering techno, house, breaks, psy trance, dub, ambient and more.

The 2009 dates are confirmed as running from Thursday 16th until Sunday 19th July, at a new location Matterley Bowl near Winchester, Hants, around a half an hour's drive from the old site.

Headliners for this year's Glade Stage will be Underworld, with Booka Shade, Squarepusher, Freeland (aka Adam Freeland), The Japanese Popstars, The Qemists, The Bays featuring Beardyman, Dub Pistols, Losers, The Egg, Femi Kuti, Nitin Sawhney, Finley Quaye, Atomic Drop, Ben & Lex, and Pathaan.

Other acts include Juan Atkins making a UK exclusive appearance, Dave Clarke, Adam Beyer, Mutant Clan (Timo Maas & Santos), Zinc, Plump Djs, Krafty Kuts, Rennie Pilgrem & Chickaboo, Deekline & Wizard, Baobinga an ID, Annie Nightingale, Koma and Bones, A Skillz & Beardyman, Ishq, Pathaan, Ashtech, Pieman, Ajja, Archaic, Beatnik, Blind Roller, Antix, Perfect Stranger, Los Albertos, Orkestra del Sol, Tragic Roundabout, Gadjo, Rusko, Starkey, Tayo, Venetian Snares, Limewax, Kid606, and Hudson Mohawke. For the line-up details as available please click here.

The Glade stage at Glastonbury Festival has been the forum for cutting edge electronic and dance music. In 2004 the team behind it, whilst continuing to run the stage at Glastonbury, broke away to start their own event.

Expect the stages to open each day by early afternoon, and to run into the early hours.

In 2009 the festival will have a more intimate feel, as well as the outdoor main 'Glade' stage, there will be more small stages, and fewer large tents, and several new areas.

Glade will also see underground dance masters BLOC (curators of BLOC Weekend) hosting the Vapor Stage. They'll be programming the main late night tent on Friday and Saturday with some big names in world techno and UK underground dance.

New this year is the Avalon Field conceived as a festival within a festival and dedicated to a way of life and attitude to living, as much as partying. This will be an area where music, art and all forms of expression thrive and connect at this highpoint of the Psytrance movement.

The post apocalyptic Carmageddon area will feature site art from Nevada's Burning Man Festival, the scrap yard regeneration creations of the Mutoid Waste Company and the twisted cabaret of the Interstella Circus and multiple venues hosted by Breaksday, Overkill, Nu-Skool Breaks, Fabric dubsteppers Dublime and Cool & Deadly and Kiss FM's Jay Cunning.

The Chillout area has evolved... It's now the inSpiral Chill. With a new feel and look run by the people behind the inSpiral Lounge in Camden and Aliji who will be programming the music and performance to create a space where you will be able to relax, heal and recharge with an amazing organic cafe, beautiful decor and downtempo music.

The festival's own website has also evolved, it's been given a complete overhaul and now offers full interactivity, to see for yourself go to www.gladefestival.com.

Expect markets, sound systems and cafes such as Chai Wallahs, Come and Play, One Tribe World Stage, Punjabi Lounge, and TRiBE of FRoG - The Frog Pond.

Expect full camping facilities, car park, licensed bars open until late, food stalls and markets, and more besides.

Tickets are on sale, the full price is £125. To buy tickets click here.
