Run by Michael Eavis (of Glastonbury Festival) for seven years, this year see's a change, from being the "Classical Extravaganza".

Set in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, there have been many memorable performances, and this year Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will provide the entertainment.

It's a real occasion, with fireworks, lights, candelabra and picnics.

Michael explained 'I have a good relationship with Jools. He loves to come to our Glastonbury Festival and we go to his Hootenany TV show at the New Year. If the new format works really well – and I think that we will sell all the tickets because Jools is so popular – in future years we might revert to the two night format, but with a different programme on each night – perhaps with Jools on the Saturday and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra providing a traditional popular classics night on the Friday.'

Also performing in 2003 is Nicola Benedetti, a 15 year old violinist who won the Britain's Brilliant Prodigies television competition earlier this year.
