The seventh year of this dance event sees it return over two nights (Friday & Saturday) again in 2007 on the nights of 27th & 28th July, to entertain up to 45,000 people.

The line-up has been announced, with Basement Jaxx and Faithless headlining, plus DJs including Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, and Armin Van Buuren. Click here for the full line-up details including day and stage splits.

Including three Ibiza-inspired terraces which are new for 2007, the arena hosts are: Radio 1 Main Stage; Godskitchen Arena; Electric Arena; Bedrock Transitions Arena; Sputnik Global Arena; Air Breaks Arena; Release Yourself Arena; Essential Selection Arena; Random Concept D&B Arena; Polysexual Arena; Circo Loco Terrace; Sundissential Terrace; Mixmag Terrace; Nocturnal Terrace; Strongbow Ciderhouse.

This year has an expanded campsite with hot showers and an outdoor cinema. As well as the music there's usually The Urban Village with Hip-Hop DJs, Skate Ramps, BMX Riders, Break Dancers and Graffiti Artists, and extreme rides in the fairground.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £105 plus booking fees. Click here to buy.

The event will run from 5pm-2am on the Friday and 2pm-6am on the Saturday.

NOTE: this is an over-18s only event.

Global Gathering has now been granted a permanent license, meaning that from summer 2007, the festival be a guaranteed fixture on the music events calendar. The license, which received no public objections, has been granted to allow the event breathing space to grow even bigger year on year.
