The Great Escape features hundreds of international and UK pop, cutting edge, hip hop, electronic, and rock acts showcased at venues all over Brighton.

The dates for 2010 are confirmed as Thursday 13th until Saturday 15th May 2010.

Line-up

A number of acts have been announced including headliners Groove Armada, plus I Blame Coco, Egyptian Hip Hop, Detroit Social Club, Daisy Dares You, Surfer Blood, Wild Beasts, Codeine Velvet Club, Stornoway, Band Of Skulls, Delphic, Chase & Status, Broken Social Scene, Marina And The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, Crystal Fighters, Slow Club, Cold Cave, Esben And The Witch, Hurts, Japandroids, Real Estate, Chew Lips, Dead Confederate, and Japanese Voyeur. For the full list of confirmed acts to date, please see here. There are many more still to be announced.

This year's partner country has been confirmed and will be Australia, so expect a host of Antipodean acts to join up with over 350 bands performing in over 30 venues spread across Brighton over the course of three days.

The line-up will include over 300 acts from around the globe in around 30 venues within Brighton City Centre. The venues are all a close walk from each other with each venue equipped to an international showcase standard.

As well as the live music, there's also a number of "Parkinson" style interviews with luminaries from the world of Music and Media, to show the way in which success is achieved, as well as educational panels, workshops and networking sessions confirmed. One of this year's conference highlights will be John Niven and John Harris discussing the overlapping worlds of A & R and music journalism.

Tickets

Early bird weekend tickets are no longer on sale. Tickets are priced at £55 and are available until this coming Friday, and single day tickets are also on sale, Thursday only tickets are priced at £22.50, Friday only tickets are priced at £27.50, and Saturday only tickets are priced at £30.

The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues (exceptions see below) over the period your ticket is for (weekend, or a particular day). To buy tickets click here.

The Great Escape has also set aside a good allocation of space for TGE wristband holders at the Chase and Status show. However, as with all Great Escape gigs, entry to it is subject to capacity and so if you're a massive fan you'll be pleased to hear that The Great Escape has also put specific Chase and Status tickets on sale, which will guarantee you access to the show. If you've already bought your TGE wristband you can purchase a single Chase & Status gig ticket for £15. And if not you can buy a combined ticket which includes a TGE 3 day festival wristband as well as guaranteed access to the Chase and Status show for £60. Single tickets to just see Groove Armada are priced at £25.
