Hammerfest is a new festival for metal fans run by the people put on Hard Rock Hell and Metal Hammer. Hammerfest will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th April at Pontins Holiday Camp in Prestatyn, North Wales and will feature more than 50 metal bands taking the stage across six arenas.

The line-up was due to be headlined by Bullet For My Valentine but they have had to pull out due to recording commitments and now play Sonisphere instead. Acts still confirmed include Opeth, Saxon, Paradise Lost, Sepultura, Hammerfall, Skindred, Cathedral, Alestorm, Grand Magus, Sabbat, TYR, Exit Ten, Annotations Of An Autopsy, Trigger The Bloodshed, Dream Evil, and many more, with five further metal acts still to be added to the line-up. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Weekend tickets, for anyone 16+ years old, are available and include two night's accommodation in holiday apartments. Tickets are available priced from £85 per head, based on a group of seven people sharing a seven-berth apartment. To buy tickets, click here.

The apartment structure at Prestatyn offers a limited number of apartments for 2's and 3's. The main bulk of apartments sleep 4, 5, 6 and 7. The more people in an apartment, the cheaper the price of the ticket.

Tickets include two nights' accommodation and entrance to all 6 arenas as well as free car parking.

eFestivals is running a competition to win tickets to Hammerfest, to find out more, click here.

More information will be here when available.
