The Ipswich Summer Arts Festival runs for two weeks, from Saturday 27th June to Sunday 12th July. Over that time Ipswich aims to become the cultural focus for arts in the region, with a full programme of events from music and drama through to visual art, film, and literature by national and locally based organisations and artists.

One central event is The Music Day which takes place on Sunday 5th July. The confirmed line-up is as follows:
Acoustic: Who Said What, Reb Capper, Greg McDonald, The Larks, Sinead Orme, Sam Arbon, The Jazmine Ava Band, Adele Swallow, Wistful Meta, Jake Morley, and Livewire.
Archant The Empires, Marvelous & Darien Prophecy, Man from Reno, Hayze, Thee Vicars, Brewer Street Kazoo Band, and Waxies Dargle.
CSV The Jacob Trio, Dirty Shockwaves, The Cosmic Sands, (((Oh Dear, DJ Shumz, Ed Sheeran, Underline The Sky, ten City Nation, James Severy at the Circus Circus, and Pixel8.
Town Hannah Scott, Boulevard Blonde, Vanilla Kick, The Outlines, Paul Bullen, Covergirl, Angry Vs The Bear, and Purple Rain.

This is a free family event, showcasing many acts on the local music scene, with six stages set in the surroundings of Christchurch Park and Mansion. This is expected to include plenty of activities for children, including a small fairground. Car parking will be free.

There's no programme of events confirmed for the festival at the moment. There will be an eclectic mixture of attractions, performances and events that appeal to a wide audience. Dance, visual arts, poetry, music, theatre, literature, opera, and cinema, are amongst the 60 plus events on offer.

As well as using the more traditional spaces, Ip-art takes exhibitions and performances into public buildings and spaces throughout the town. This colourful combination aims to include tradition, innovation and imagination within the arts in Ipswich.

More information will be here when available.
