The Comedy and Cabaret StageLeeds Festival 2003Thursday 31st July 2003This years Comedy and Cabaret Stage has late night entertainment after the music ends. It uses the same tent as the Concrete Jungle Stage - so no comedy or cabaret on Sunday. The coup of the weekend is the presence of MARK THOMAS, the UK's champion of the underdog, scourge of the establishment and all round good bloke. If you think his performances on the "Mark Thomas Product" were outrageous, wait until you hear him free from broadcasting restrictions. Mark has seen a Conservative Councillor resign from office over his show, forced a peer to take his artworks off a tax dodge and impersonated a PR company to film governments admitting to torture techniques at an arms fair. This man has done more for British politics than Tony Blair ever will. Also, check out Ian Cognito - a comic you'll never see on TV! Thursday 21st August to Saturday 23rd August Late night entertainment for the masses with a mix of cabaret, films and DJ's including British Sea Power playing live and interactive with their 'Baraka' film and DJ's from London's infamous 'Artrocker'.
