Taking place in a pocket of countryside within the urban sprawl of Birmingham, there will be music catering for the fans and afficionados of the 30s to 50s style of jazz epitomized by Django Reinhardt, (guitarist and one of Europe's most influential contributors to the world of jazz), to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death and to benefit the charity BCAT- for children and adults with learning disabilities - appropriate as Django Reinhardt was disabled - and 2003 is the European Year of the Disabled.
Four of the Reinhardts are playing, (including David, Djangos grandson), Fapy Lafertin, Angelo Debarre, Tchavolo Schmitt, (who could never be persuaded to come to the UK before; hes coming and bringing Mandino and Sony Reinhardt with him).
It is hoped that there will be a French-style Farmers market in Moseley over the weekend and music workshops will also be taking place.
