Now in it's third year, this speciality jazz festival takes place in a pocket of countryside within the urban sprawl of Birmingham, celebrating music which caters for the fans and afficionados of the 1930s to 1950s-style of gypsy jazz as epitomized by guitarist, Django Reinhardt and his contemporaries.
There's a full line-up with artists from all over Europe as well as plenty of jam sessions and master clases taking place at the festival and across the Moseley area over the weekend. This year's line-up is as follows:
Saturday: Trio Gitano; Graham Clark Trio; Swing 2005; Dominique Pierard and Benjamin Clement; Dotschy Reinhardt; Lollo Meier; Les Doigts de l'Homme; and Moreno.
Sunday: Fret and Fiddle; Le QuecumBar All Stars; The Hepbir Cosimini Trio; Joe Townsend Quartet; Fred Tjeolonius Baker (replacing John Etheridge); The Rosenberg Trio; and a jam session with hopefully, everyone.
There are six large marquees, musical instruments for sale, cds and records. Food and refreshments include a hog roast, tapas and sushi, coffee, ice creams and, of course, a bar.
Ticket sales benefit the charity BCAT, which assists people with learning difficulties.
