This will be the 25th Lichfield Festival and includes rising stars such as conductor, Robin Ticciati, the Royal String Quartet from Poland, and understudies from the Glyndebourne Festival as well as returning old friends of the Festival such as András Schiff with the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Other highlights will include Lichfield Cathedral being transformed into Britain’s oldest cinema for screenings of Charlie Chaplin’s Mutuals silent films to live music by Carl Davis and the RLPO; a literature weekend with Alain de Botton and Rageh Omah; Shostakovich’s, The Nose, performed by The Opera Group; and an Architects of Air architectural installation.
The majority of the concerts and other events take place in Lichfield’s medieval cathedral and in the Lichfield Garrick Theatre. There will be other performances in Lichfield district and around Staffordshire.
