Limetreefestival is a new 3 day on-site camping festival set in the 25 acre grounds of Lime Tree Farm, an area of outstanding natural beauty featuring an Iron age round house and an authentic stone circle.
Limetreefestival is a small festival which happens from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August with an eclectic mix of performers, from northern soul to indie, to electro house & everything in between. the festivals has 3 stages of music, comedy, arts and film with an old school vibe.
The line-up for this year is as follows:
The Greenman Stage
Headlined by Chunky Butt Funky, Global Police Force, and New Rope string Band, with Ahab, Groovenik, Cantaloop, Gentlemen's Dub Club, The Soul Daddies, Electric Press, Monkeysee Monkeydo, Lamin & African Roots, Fine & Mellow, Samay, and Pan Jumby. There will also be some very special guests that will be announced nearer the time.
Jason Rae Stage
Urban Strings, The Guests, Carlyle group, Leonard's Revenge, Dyframix, B&L Dub Club, Duo, Esk, The Secrets, Point Froggs, The Blind Hearts, The Irregulars, Maple Fire, Light Garden, Leonard's Revenge, and Como Ves.
Northern Soulz Stage
DJ Stan (Leeds), Gouldy (Studio1), Jim Heb (Dundee), and Matty (Mint)
Tickets are priced at £60 including camping with under 18s going free if accompanied by an over 18 or £45 for a single day ticket. Secure Parking is available for £5 for the weekend with no pets allowed on site (it is a nature reserve).
There is camping and parking available. The festival is split into two arenas, the music field & the healing field. In the healing field there will be a wide variety of alternative therapies & other remedies with yoga to tai chi, demonstrations, 2 pagan stone circles, a contemplation pool, an authentic indian teepee, and Solar stage providing its own energy.
Comedy and side acts include Sunny Jim's Solar stage with a collective of freestyle musicians and artists on the stage in the domed tent & around the site including Captain HotKnives, Robert James Alexander, Diddly Squat, Long Arm Depressive, BFG, Edith Piaf, and The Trolls.
There will also be film screenings, comedy, and art exhibits, funfair rides, open mic stage, poetry collective, politics, sculptures, graffiti wall, face painters, henna tattoos, diablo, fire pois, and more.
A market area, food will not include economy burgers or hotdogs but top quality food from a wide variety of vendors, and options with no rip off prices. Drink will be priced at £2.50 which is an alcoholic drinks policy in the themed cocktail bar and beer tents. There is a no no glass or bottle policy.
On site facilities include camping, onsite showers, and eco toilets. In order to be be as green as possible festival goers are encouraged to share lifts to the festival as well as taking responsibility for their own waste whilst on the site.
A proportion of the proceeds of the festival shall go towards the Limetree Conservation Fund. This will help ensure the continued preservation of nature & wildlife on the site.
