Limetree festival has an eclectic mix of performers, from northern soul to indie, to electro house & everything in between. The festival will have 2 stages of music, comedy, arts and film with an old school vibe.

Limetree festival happens for three days from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August 2012, the August bank holiday weekend, in the 25 acre grounds of Lime Tree Farm, an area of outstanding natural beauty featuring an Iron age round house and an authentic stone circle.

Line-up

The first act confirmed are Saturday night headliners Utah Saints.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are on sale priced at £85 including camping, with a £25 deposit option also available with full payments complete by no later than end of June 2012.

Junior (aged 14 - 17 years) tickets are priced at £45, Child (aged 5 – 13 years) tickets are priced at £25, and under children under 5 can enter for free. Junior ticket holders must be accompanied by an adult and may be asked for proof of age at the entrance. A family ticket (2 adults + 2 juniors) weekend ticket is priced at £210. Campervan tickets (full weekend tickets also required) are priced at £35.

On site

The festival has 2 main arenas with 2 main stages and includes a healing area, kids zone and queer space as well as a dedicated chill out field complete with pagan stone circles and a contemplation pool.

In the healing area there will be a wide variety of alternative therapies & other remedies with yoga to tai chi, demonstrations and workshops.

There will be two bars each offering there own entertainment going on til late as well as weird and wonderful stalls for festival goers to potter around.

There will also be film screenings, comedy, and art exhibits, open mic stage, poetry collective, politics, sculptures, graffiti wall, face painters, henna tattoos, diablo, fire pois, and more.

Kids area

There is a growing programme of events and workshops for everyone from toddlers and teenagers. The kids zone will be based round 5 native indian teepees and offer lots for the little ones to do including harp and guitar workshops, DJ taster sessions and for the littlest ones, 'Weenyboppers' with songs and games. Opening times will be 10am-5pm every day. Staffing: All volunteers will be safe adults who have gone through the necessary checks.

For the first time this year there will an astronomy area offering workshops for children and the chance to remember what the night sky looks like away from the glare of city lights using telescopes and interactive workshops.

Family camping

A separate camping area this year allows families to relax when it comes to bedtime knowing they won't be woken by late night stragglers.

Food

A market area, food will not include economy burgers or hotdogs but top quality food from a wide variety of vendors, and options with no rip off prices. There is a no glass or bottle policy.

Facilities

On site facilities include camping, onsite showers, and eco toilets. In order to be be as green as possible festival goers are encouraged to share lifts to the festival as well as taking responsibility for their own waste whilst on the site.

Getting there

The festival will be offering return coach travel from Leeds city centre, this will be priced at around £15 return and will be available for both weekend and day tickets.

Conservation fund

A proportion of the proceeds of the festival shall go towards the Limetree Conservation Fund. This will help ensure the continued preservation of nature & wildlife on the site.
