The Liverpool Summer Pops in a month long music festival that takes place throughout July, and in 2008 is held at a new venue the 10,000 seater Echo Arena in Liverpool’s Kings Dock.
The event is presented by The Liverpool Echo, and has played host to acts such as Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Who, James Brown, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Jools Holland, Tom Jones, Girls Aloud, Bryan Ferry, Westlife, Alice Cooper, Julio Iglesias, Sugababes, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, Pet Shop Boys, Van Morrison, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bryan Adams, OMD and Il Divo.
