Llama Festival23-11-2010The Lynton and Lynmouth Music Festival - or Lllama for short - is an annual, volunteer-run festival that aims to bring quality music to the coast of North Devon. The festival is FREE and takes place over three days every June. The main stage is set in a stunning location overlooking the Bristol Channel, and bands play in the pubs, in the church, in the halls, in the cinema and on the streets. With very careful consideration LLAMA has decided not to have a festival in 2011, effectively taking a year off, in order to allow the team behind the festival time to continue the in-detail planning for the new event. In June 2012 the organisers plan to launch a newly branded festival. Subject to agreement with the Town Council, the event will be centred predominately on Lynmouth Manor Green and Foreshore, which for the past eight years has formed the core of the music festival. The festival will aim to deliver a diverse cultural event, building on the successes of the past music festival. The brief will widen to incorporate other cultural and family friendly arts, such as literary, comedy and art. listed events:- |
