Centered around Whitby Community College, the venue includes a campsite (with indoor facilities and showers), and Main Concert Hall with real ale bar. There's also a secondary venue at the Friendship Rowing Club in Church Street, in the old part of Whitby where smaller concerts and events take place, with a large window acting as the backdrop to the stage overlooking Whitby and the river.
Most acts have already been confirmed. The line-up includes the following:
Luka Bloom; John Wright Band; Back of the Moon; The Pipers Sons; Tom McConville & David Wood; George Welch; The Alan Bell Band; Winter Wilson; The Hall Bros; Widdershins; Copper Kettle; Tina Taylor; Geoff Turner; Ember; Something Nasty in the Woodshed; Sheila Lum; David Livingstone; Coblers Monday; Judie Knight; Jim McDonald; and Paul Sheldon.
Whitby Town Centre is only 10 minutes walk from the main venue. Here the sessions for sing a rounds and musicians and the folk club will be held plus dance displays on the harbour side. As well as concerts and dances, there will be ceilidhs, ghost walks, workshops and street entertainment.
