The Mumbles is known as the 'Gateway to Gower', Britain's first area of outstanding natural beauty, not far from Swansea, South West Wales.

The sixth annual festival will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday 30th April until Monday 3rd May 2010.

Venues

This festival features several gigs spread over three days at various venues, the main one being a Marquee set up in the leafy Southend Gardens which includes a bar. Other venues include the Victoria Inn, Beaufort Arms and Mumbles Rugby and Cricket Clubs.

Line-up

The line-up will include an eclectic mix, ranging from traditional jazz through to latino, and blues bands and those coming from a rock perspective. And for 2010, the programme will be led by top international female talent.

Friday night in the Festival Pavilion stars Maggie Bell, Dave Kelly and the British Blues Quartet. In support will be festival favourite The Sean Webster Band.

Saturday night in the Pavilion will host The Ana Popovic Band. On the bill with them, from the USA, are Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner and The Kings of Rhythm.

Sunday is Jazz Day in the Pavilion. In the afternoon, Claire Martin returns with The Gareth Williams Band, while heading the evening line-up will be Protect The Beat.

The Hamsters return to close the festival on Monday night in the Pavilion. Monday afternoon sees The Amigos followed by The Brian Breeze Rhythm and Blues Band with Taff Williams plus more to be announced.

Harper & Midwest Kind have cancelled their 2010 European tour due to the financial recession, so replacing them will be Derik and the mOOn Dogs.

There will also be jazz and blues acts will be appearing in the Marquee and the festival's second major venue the Conservative Club over the weekend. Smaller, more intimate gigs will also be found all over Mumbles in locals such as the Park Inn, Victoria Inn and Beaufort Arms and at the Mumbles Cricket Club, Rugby Club and Yacht Club; some of these gigs will be free.
