2009 sees the 10th anniversary of this world music festival, and the organisers hope to have a bill of the type of acts who have played over the last nine years with some favourites returning and some acts coming for the first time, including possibly some acts from the Pacific region.

Musicport dates for 2009 are confirmed as Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th October, at Bridlington Spa Theatre and Royal Hall, on Bridlington's sea front, which boasts an Edwardian theatre and art deco style 1930's ballroom.

This year's line-up includes music, dance and spoken word traditions from countries as diverse as Tibet, New Zealand, Chile, India, Malawi, Jamaica, D R Congo, Sudan, Philippines, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, Bulgaria, Niger and Brazil as well as many excellent UK based artists.
