North Wiltshire festival '04

This community event is organised by North Wiltshire District Council, promising a night of music for all ages on Saturday July 17, with headlining Abba tribute band Bjorn Again and a host of local talent. The festival will include two beer tents, a children's area and a farmers' market. The music will commence at around 1.30pm and continue throughout the afternoon until 5pm, leaving an hour's break before the main evening programme begins at 6pm which will culminate in a firework spectacular.

Other bands include Wishful Thinking (covering artists such as Queen, Bon Jovi and The Darkness), The Halle Bop duo (with covers of Elvis, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran) and Wham Duran, who will recreate the sounds of the 1980s.

The free concert is just one feature of many events over the weekend which will include a business village and a community village highlighting the work of local authorities and voluntary groups across the district; also river activities, such as boat rides and a drama presentation; and waste reduction and recycling with workshops for youngsters.
