The seventh Garforth Arts Festival takes place from Monday 27th June to 9th July. Gosforth Gathering is a new two day alternative music festival, to be held at
Newcastle Racecourse on the 5th and 6th of August 2006.
There'll be two stages, with the major artists on the main stage, and the second stage will feature unsigned bands. The Saturday has The Stranglers, Therapy?, Buzzcocks, and more, while Sunday has Biffy Clyro, The Bluetones, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Complete Stone Roses, 65daysofstatic, and more. The festival will be kept to a limit of under 10,000 people a day for 2006, but the organisers hope to expand in future years. There will be no on-site camping available this year.
Gosforth Gathering 2006 will be raising money in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
Tickets are priced at £29.50 for either day, or £55 for the weekend.
