On the 11th-12th August the Arts Meets Environment Festival will be hosting AMEF 07, a large outdoor music festival featuring young local bands, and up-and-coming bands.
There are workshops all day covering a wide range of music-related skills from DJ-ing to playing. Workshops are open to young people aged 14-27 years and are free to young people living in the locality; otherwise £2 per 2 hour workshop or £5 for the whole day.
In addition to music and workshops, there will be a an AMEF 07 FILM TENT showcasing local young filmmakers, an exhibition marquee featuring the work produced in the workshops, graffiti artists, and a beer tent.
Entrance to AMEF 07 Music Festival is £5 on the day and £4 if brought in advance. Tickets will be available soon.
This 2 day event will be held at Fermyn Woods Country Park (nr Brigstock) on the A6116 (between Corby and the A14). A transport network will be set up to provide free transport to and from the Festival.
