The Fir Vale Festival, now in its second year, will be held on Sunday 9th of September on the Fir Vale School Grounds on Owler lane in Fir Vale, Sheffield. The event will start at 1pm and end at 5.30pm.
Admission is free to all. The festival aims to celebrate the diversity and quality of the community of Fir Vale, focusing on both the younger and older members of the community alike.
There will be a Main stage marquee at the event, with a performance from MetznTrix, and there will be a Jamboree performance of Good Ship Splendid Theatre Cabaret Show. Other acts on the day will be a local Slovacian Romainian music group playing traditional music and a Belly dance team of ladies from the Zubidah school of dancing.
There will also be a huge fringe market with food and arts and craft stalls
and local business exhibitions. The activity area will have boxing and
martial arts displays, sports and games, and an Ice skating rink and climbing
tower. Outside the main stage Marquee will be a circus skills workshop for the kids and just across the way will be an arts workshop marquee.
