Barney Big Bash is a three day festival held from Saturday 23rd until Monday 25th August (bank holiday) and grew out of the Annual Rhythm & Blues Festival held at Barnard Castle in County Durham.

the line-up confirmed so far is as follows:
Saturday - Ska Day
Neville Staples headlines, supporting artists are Skaville UK, The Big, The Talks, The Favours, The G Men, and more still to be confirmed.
Sunday - R&B Day
Steve Cropper With The Animals headline, supporting artists are Big Gilson & Blues Dynamite, John O'Leary Band, Green Mac, Mo Indigo, Yeadon Wesley Blues Experience, Black Cat Bone, and more.
Monday - Funday Monday
T.Rextasy headline, supporting artists are Bootleg Blondie, New Age Jam - A Paul Weller Experience, Roxyrama, Atlantic Soul Messenger, and Eclipse.

Tickets are priced at £25 for a weekend pass or £10 for any day. On the Monday children under the age of 16 years will be allowed to enter the event free (by prior arrangement only – i.e. pre-booking by post - in person or online). To buy tickets online, click here.

There is a campsite adjacent to the arena which has been developed for the event with toilets, showers, running water, lighting, car parking, scooter parking, caravans and campervans. The site is minutes from the Town centre and local amenities. Camping charges are Weekend (3 nights) £25 per person, Daily £10 per person. Caravan & Campervan charges are £60 per lot for the weekend or £25 per lot daily.There are also a limited number of tents already erected are available for hire.

Around the arena there will also be lots going on, with craft and trade stalls. On Monday there will be a free area with lots of inflatable and games. There are two beer tents, a wide range of food will be on offer from BBQ, dogs and burgers to an extensive range of meals and vegetarian fare. Breakfast is available from 8.30 am until 11.30 am.
