Now then… to get a great pitch at Pinkpop you have to be there with the early birds. We arrived 2 hours after the gates open to the arena and the most popular area, campsite A (next to the arena) is full up.
The campsite only opens 3 hours before the music starts. Fifteen minutes down the road and campsite B is full up. This leaves campsite C half an hours walk away. There is a bus from here to the arena during the daytime, but at night they charge for the journey home (or you can get a taxi). The walk is okay, but there is nothing along the way, just a road that seems never-ending. The campsites hold food halls and toilet and shower blocks, first aid and information points, and cash machines. No campervan or motorhomes are allowed.
