Celebrating Plymouth's multicultural society with a fusion of music, performance, arts and information. The festival is based around the Guildhall and City Centre Plazas. The 12th annual Plymouth Respect Festival takes place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October.

Many cultures are represented including: Nigerian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Lebanese, Kosovan, Greek, and Mongolian.

The festival will have performances from a wide variety of artists including Ricky Romain and Jon Sterckx, Ilu Axé, Truro Samba School, Energia Samba, Andigwa dance, Flying Colours, Bellydance Sisters, Kagemusha Taiko, Ayali Naresh, Beat Breakers, and Lido 66.

There are also workshops, children's activities, stalls with information and world food give aways plus, on Sunday expect a parade starting from the sundial, Armada Way at 10.30am. The music will be as culturally varied as the festival itself.

The event will also have outdoor activities all day, with Crazy bikes, Climbing Wall, Skate Park, and an interactive fire engine display. Sunday will include Children's play area and workshops. One world stage, information stands, Henna tattooing, Rangoli display and Thai food carving, stalls and coffee shop. Mongolian throat singing workshop 1pm Green Room. The Guildhall will have Top floor: North room: shadow puppetry, Astor Room: Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Kinesiology and Crystal Therapy (provided by the Barbican Therapy Centre), plus workshops stands and stalls, and interactive workshop with Plymouth Art College.
