Priddy Folk Festival '10

With 2 concerts, a ceilidh and a Late Nite Bop on Friday, 4 concerts, a ceilidh and a Late Nite Bop on Saturday and 2 more concerts and a ceilidh on Sunday, this claims to be the friendliest folk festival in England, held at the beautiful village of Priddy, high on the magnificent Mendip Hills in sunny Somerset.

The festival takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th July 2010.

Line-up

The acts confirmed include headline acts Battlefield Band, Spiers and Boden, The New Rope String Band, Vin Garbutt, The Carrivick Sisters, Mabon, Kerfuffle, Bellevue Rendezvous, Scoville Units with Leon Hunt, Tom Kitching & Gren Bartley, plus Reg Meuross and Beth Porter, The Three Caballeros, Helena, Issy Emeney, Cleverly Brothers, Gasworks singers, Phil King, Ruth Notman Duo, Lucy Ward, Ryan Young, James Chadwick, James Findlay, Tyde, Dyer Cummings band, Sheelanagig, and more.

Tickets

A weekend adult with camping (over 16 years of age) ticket was priced at £63. A youth (aged 11 - 16 years) weekend ticket was priced at £31.50. Children under 11 tickets are free. Other entertainment

In addition there will be many smaller one hour concerts/meet the artist type events, as well as the usual Dance Festival with Morris, Maypole, Appalachian and more, Children's Festival offering Juggling, story telling, puppets, face painting and more, Sessions in the two pubs, singarounds and so on. There will be a Club Tent and open mic Sessions and Craft Fayre and Workshops with wood-turning, pottery, weaving, and a carefully selected mix of traders.

The festival will offer a varied and interesting range of food, real ales & scrumpy, on-site camping, large parking field.

Camping

There's a campsite adjacent to the village at a small extra charge for weekend ticket holders or individual concert ticket holders only.
