Taking on the spirit and ideals of Rise, the UpRise Anti-racism festival will use the universal language of music and the arts to celebrate the commonalities of London's rich cultures and at the last count, the 250 languages spoken in the capital.2011 UpRise will be held directly in the community, as a unified show of 'Peace Across The Streets'. Fourteen interesting and unusual spaces will play host to the festival trail which includes a roof top, vegetable garden, WWII bunker and public square, while celebrating the many community initiatives and cultures that make up the city and beyond.
