This is a weekend festival of classic rock with a bit of everything else thrown in (folk rock, ska, punk, blues, prog, jazz rock, funk & latin fusion etc), with the entertainment taking place inside a 3,000 capacity indoor arena, and the two covered stages from 2007 will return.
The acts for 2008 include Led Zep Too, The Pure Floyd Show, The Blockheads, Eddie & The Hotrods, The Sweeney, Bad Company, Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, Tracie Hunter Band, Rattlesnake Remedy, Marillion, Andy Fairweather Low, Mostly Autumn, The Reasoning, John Otway, and more. You can camp from 2pm Thursday 17th July until 11am Monday 21st July. The campsite has a well drained surface for vehicles. There is lighting to the site entrance, exit, the main roadways and toilet area. There are showers in the permanent male, female and disabled toilet blocks in the field.
Expect craft stalls, a coffee shop, clothes and craft stalls and a collectors vinyl & CD fair. All the normal festival food (including vegetarian) is available, from Thai curry to a full roast on Sunday in the centre's own restaurant. This year's event has an even bigger selection of real ales, lagers, ciders, wines & spirits.
For children, there is also a 'Pets Corner' with rabbits, llamas, donkeys and horses etc on the Animal Shelter site.
Tickets:- Adult weekend tickets cost £89 from the 1st July, or £79 in advance. Camping (Thursday - Sunday nights) is extra at £18 per tent. Caravans and campers are £36.
