Rhythms of the World

13-10-2009

Large festival of world music - indoor and outdoor stages, world food, craft stalls, music, dance, street art and children's activities. The annual festival is held in mid-July each year.

In October 2007 the Trustees took the decision that the event could no longer be held in Hitchin town centre as it was increasingly difficult to manage it spread across many venues and agreed there will be an admittance charge of approximately £5 per day, it used to be free. This is to cover the ever increasing costs of running the festival and will also raise funds to support more community projects.
