The Salisbury International Arts Festival takes place from Friday 25th May until Saturday 9th June 2012.

The first music acts announced are Suzanne Vega, Joan Armatrading, Les Commandos Percu, Jonathan Dove, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, a Gala Concert celebrating the Festival's 40th year, Benjamim Taubkin and Morena Nascimento, and closing concert in the Close. Salisbury International Arts Festival have announced Ageas as its new Principal Sponsor. Alongside music there will be international theatre, dance, film, visual arts, children's events, free outdoor events and a full literature programme. The programme for 2012 is inspired by the themes of Brazilian culture, fire and celebration.Highlights include the free opening night, Le Concert de Feu with world-renowned French Company Les Commandos Percu mixing music and flames in a pyrotechnic extravaganza. A new sculpture created by QinetiQ's young aerospace engineering apprentices. Shakespeare's Globe Theatre performing Henry V, Gandini Juggling and classical music focused on celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Salisbury Cathedral.
Fire Garden at Stonehenge
In 2012, the Festival will also present Fire Garden at Stonehenge for the London 2012 Festival at dusk from Tuesday 10 July to Thursday 12 July with France's Compagnie Carabosse creating a magical, sensory experience. Stonehenge will be transformed into a glowing fairytale environment where fire sculptures dance in the landscape, mysterious fiery engines illuminate the stones and flaming fire pots and cascades of candles line the pathways.Venues
