Shepley Spring Festival is a brand new festival for 2007, with a full weekend of events celebrating the best of traditional music, song and dance, and will include concerts, ceilidhs, morris dancing, music and dance workshops, a beer festival, music and song sessions and a full programme of youth and children's activities.

Based in the rural community of Shepley in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines, the festival events will be based around a large greenfield site on the edge of the village with campsite adjacent. Shepley is close to motorway links and has its own railway station on the Huddersfield to Sheffield line.

Eliza Carthy and Saul Rose will top the bill on Sunday Afternoon 20th May at Shepley Spring Festival in a concert which also features rising young star Lisa Knapp and her band. Sunday night 'Final Fling' - The Peatbog Faeries supported by 3 Daft Monkeys and Sheelenagig -tickets for this event are £15.

Artists booked to appear are:- Waterson Carthy, Roy Bailey (Festival Patron), John Tams and Barry Coope, Peatbog Faeries, The Devil’s Interval, Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, 3 Daft Monkeys, Bedlam, Random, New Mill Male Voice Choir, David Ferrard, Shona Kipling and Damien O’Kane, Lisa Knapp, Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher, Notts Alliance, Mawkin, Ember, Lilias Kinsman Blake and Rachel Newton, Fyrish, Hex, Will Noble, 422 Dance Band, with more be announced.

Tickets are on sale, at a reduced early bird price of £35 for an adult (until all sold), then at the following prices until 31st December 2006: adult £50 (camping £10 extra), aged 12-16 £25 (camping £5 extra), and those aged under-12 are free (but must still book tickets).
