SOS 4.8 Music Festival '10

SOS 4.8 Music Festival, now in its third year, is a 48 hours non-stop event that incorporates music, contemporary art exhibitions, conferences and performances, and takes place across May bank holiday weekend, Friday 30th April to Sunday 1st May 2010. SOS 4.8 is a 20,000 capacity urban festival that takes place in city of Murcia, just 40 minutes drive from La Manga,in South East Spain.

Line-up

The latest confirmed acts are Hot Chip, Mystery Jets, Crystal Castles, Carl Craig featuring Mike Banks and Monty Luke, and Spanish acts Sunday Drivers, and The Leadings, joining Orbital, Uffie, Tindersticks, The Magic Numbers, Los Planetas, Dorian, La Bien Querida,Amable, The Horrors, Franz Ferdinand, Fatboy Slim, Madness, Nada Surf, alongside Delorean, Love of Lesbian, We are Standard, and Joe Crepusculo, Alondra Bentley, Annie B Sweet and Lidia Damunt.

Other entertainment

The festival also offers contemporary art, with this year's exhibitions and activities designed around the theme 'Bizarre'; and the Voices section, offering conferences around the issue of sustainability. The novelty this year will be a new space, courtesy of the Apolo Theatre (Barcelona), offering: Burlesque, Cabaret, Striptease, Circus performances and more music.

To get there

This event does not include accommodation or camping. For those booking beach accommodation in La Manga we advise flying to Murcia airport (just 30 min bus ride to La Manga). Those planning to stay in Murcia city could fly to either airport, both about 40 minutes from the city.
