With music, visual arts, poetry, literature, theatre and cinema, this festival usually opens with a ceilidh on Saturday night, followed by tribute band nights and a Youth night (Wednesday) culminating in a Festival Ball on the last Saturday of the festival. The dates are confirmed as from Saturday 11th to Saturday 25th September.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are due on sale in the spring.

Ticketed gigs take place at The Guildhall but artists are also booked for The Western Hotel which hosts a full programme of regular events (many of which are free entry), including afternoon jam sessions, evening acoustic sessions, open mic' nights, a Blues Club and St Ives Jazz Club. There will be music of all types in the Guildhall and the Pubs.

Other attractions

Other attractions include exhibitions, talks, classes, guided walks, visual arts exhibitions, classes and shows at local theatres, poetry led by Bob Devereaux, poets and musicians perform in The Square daily during the festival fortnight - or in the Salthouse Gallery if wet.

Accommodation

You should consider booking your accommodation early as most places fill up quickly for the festival fortnight.
